As plantas utilizam a energia solar para realizar a fotoss\u00edntese. Neste processo, tomam di\u00f3xido de carbono (C02) e transformam-no em oxig\u00e9nio (02). Os m\u00e9todos utilizados para a produ\u00e7\u00e3o dessa energia podem ser, em grandes tra\u00e7os, <strong>termoqu\u00edmicos e bioqu\u00edmicos<\/strong>. Entre os primeiros, destaca-se a <strong>combust\u00e3o e a gasifica\u00e7\u00e3o<\/strong>, e entre os bioqu\u00edmicos, a <strong>digest\u00e3o anaer\u00f3bica<\/strong>. A utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o de um m\u00e9todo ou outro depende do tipo de combust\u00edvel, da procura e da sua aplica\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sistemas baseados na combust\u00e3o<br \/><\/strong>A biomassa \u00e9 queimada a temperaturas elevadas (entre 600 e 1300\u00baC) e na presen\u00e7a de grandes quantidades de ar. A energia obtida pode ser destinada \u00e0 produ\u00e7\u00e3o de calor (sob a forma de \u00e1gua ou ar quente) para o uso dom\u00e9stico ou industrial, e \u00e0 produ\u00e7\u00e3o de eletricidade.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sistemas baseados na gasifica\u00e7\u00e3o<br \/><\/strong>A biomassa \u00e9 decomposta atrav\u00e9s do calor e obt\u00e9m-se um g\u00e1s combust\u00edvel cujas aplica\u00e7\u00f5es s\u00e3o similares \u00e0s do g\u00e1s natural.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Digest\u00e3o anaer\u00f3bica<br \/><\/strong>Atrav\u00e9sda <strong>aus\u00eancia de oxig\u00e9nio<\/strong> consegue-se a <strong>degrada\u00e7\u00e3o da mat\u00e9ria org\u00e2nica<\/strong> pela a\u00e7\u00e3o de <strong>uns micro-organismos espec\u00edficos<\/strong>, que a transformam num<strong> biog\u00e1s <\/strong>e noutros produtos chamados lodos. O biog\u00e1s pode ser utilizado para produzir <strong>energia el\u00e9trica ou t\u00e9rmica<\/strong>, ou gerar ambas atrav\u00e9s dos sistemas de <strong>cogera\u00e7\u00e3o<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item _builder_version=&#8221;3.17.6&#8243; title=&#8221;O que s\u00e3o as certifica\u00e7\u00f5es e que tipos de certifica\u00e7\u00f5es existem?&#8221; link_option_url_new_window=&#8221;off&#8221; use_background_color_gradient=&#8221;off&#8221; background_color_gradient_start=&#8221;#2b87da&#8221; background_color_gradient_end=&#8221;#29c4a9&#8243; background_color_gradient_type=&#8221;linear&#8221; background_color_gradient_direction=&#8221;180deg&#8221; background_color_gradient_direction_radial=&#8221;center&#8221; background_color_gradient_start_position=&#8221;0%&#8221; background_color_gradient_end_position=&#8221;100%&#8221; background_color_gradient_overlays_image=&#8221;off&#8221; parallax=&#8221;off&#8221; parallax_method=&#8221;on&#8221; background_size=&#8221;cover&#8221; background_position=&#8221;center&#8221; background_repeat=&#8221;no-repeat&#8221; background_blend=&#8221;normal&#8221; allow_player_pause=&#8221;off&#8221; background_video_pause_outside_viewport=&#8221;on&#8221; text_shadow_style=&#8221;none&#8221; box_shadow_style=&#8221;none&#8221; hover_transition_duration=&#8221;300ms&#8221; hover_transition_delay=&#8221;0ms&#8221; hover_transition_speed_curve=&#8221;ease&#8221; text_shadow_horizontal_length=&#8221;0em&#8221; text_shadow_vertical_length=&#8221;0em&#8221; text_shadow_blur_strength=&#8221;0em&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>\u00c0 medida que o uso da biomassa foi crescendo, desenvolveram-se padr\u00f5es de qualidade para, nuns casos, assegurar a correta gest\u00e3o florestal e noutros, a comercializa\u00e7\u00e3o de um produto de qualidade comprov\u00e1vel.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Normas ISO\/UNE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>ISO 17225<\/strong>: a n\u00edvel internacional, a ISO (Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o Internacional de Normaliza\u00e7\u00e3o) desenvolveu uma s\u00e9rie de normas de garantia da qualidade (8), que afetam os biocombust\u00edveis s\u00f3lidos mais utilizados a n\u00edvel internacional, como os<em><strong>pellets, as aparas e a lenha<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UNE 164003 y UNE 164004<\/strong>: para al\u00e9m disso, em Espanha, e com a finalidade de ter em considera\u00e7\u00e3o biocombust\u00edveis s\u00f3lidos caracter\u00edsticos do mercado espanhol, a AENOR (Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Espanhola de Normaliza\u00e7\u00e3o e Certifica\u00e7\u00e3o) desenvolveu normas de qualidade relativas ao <em><strong>caro\u00e7o de azeitona <\/strong><\/em>e \u00e0s cascas de frutos.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Certifica\u00e7\u00e3o ENplus\u00ae<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00c9 um sistema de certifica\u00e7\u00e3o privado baseado na norma internacional ISO 17225-2, que faz refer\u00eancia exclusivamente aos <em><strong>pellets de madeira<\/strong><\/em> para usos n\u00e3o industriais. Classifica-os em tr\u00eas qualidades:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A1 (pellets de madeira virgem e res\u00edduos de madeira sem tratamento qu\u00edmico, com baixos conte\u00fados em cinzas, nitrog\u00e9nio e cloro)<\/li>\n<li>A2 (combust\u00edveis com um conte\u00fado ligeiramente mais alto em cinzas, nitrog\u00e9nio e\/ou cloro)<\/li>\n<li>B (pellets em cuja produ\u00e7\u00e3o se p\u00f4de utilizar tamb\u00e9m madeira reciclada e res\u00edduos industriais). Tamb\u00e9m se incluem valores para o conte\u00fado dos metais pesados.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Os direitos da marca ENplus\u00ae pertencem ao EuropeanPelletCouncil. A<a href=\"http:\/\/www.avebiom.org\/es\/que-hacemos\/List\/listing\/sello-de-calidad-en-plus-107\/1\">AVEBIOM<\/a> \u00e9 a licenciada encarregada da gest\u00e3o do sistema em Espanha.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Certifica\u00e7\u00e3o BIOmasud\u00ae<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00c9 um sistema de certifica\u00e7\u00e3o de qualidade e sustentabilidade privado fruto de um projeto europeu do mesmo nome financiado com fundos FEDER no \u00e2mbito do programa Interreg IV-B. \u00c9 um sistema de certifica\u00e7\u00e3o para <strong>biocombust\u00edveis mediterr\u00e2nicos<\/strong>: <strong>pellets de madeira, caro\u00e7o de azeitona, aparas de madeira e cascas de frutos secos<\/strong>. Para pellets de madeira e aparas, o sistema est\u00e1 baseado nas normais internacionais ISO 17225-2 para pellets de madeira e 17225-4 para aparas, ao passo que para os restantes biocombust\u00edveis se baseia em pr\u00e9-normas pr\u00f3prias desenvolvidas no projeto.<\/p>\n<p>Para al\u00e9m da qualidade, o sistema tamb\u00e9m tem requisitos de sustentabilidade, tais como a pegada de carbono ou a energia gasta para produzir o biocombust\u00edvel. Os direitos da marca BIOmasud\u00ae em Espanha pertencem \u00e0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.avebiom.org\/es\/que-hacemos\/List\/listing\/sello-de-calidad-en-plus-107\/1\">AVEBIOM<\/a> e ao CIEMAT.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Certifica\u00e7\u00e3o de Gest\u00e3o Florestal FSC<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>O FSC (ForestStewardshipCouncil) \u00e9 uma organiza\u00e7\u00e3o internacional sem fins lucrativos que estabelece os padr\u00f5es sobre os quais uma floresta \u00e9 gerida de forma respons\u00e1vel, tanto do ponto de vista ambiental como socialmente. O FSC tem escrit\u00f3rios nacionais em v\u00e1rios pa\u00edses: <a href=\"https:\/\/es.fsc.org\/es-es\">FSC Espanha<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.fsc.org\/fr-fr\">Fran\u00e7a<\/a> e <a href=\"https:\/\/pt.fsc.org\/pt-pt\">Portugal<\/a>, entre outros.<\/p>\n<p><strong>LabelFSC \u2013 ForestStewardshipCouncil<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A certifica\u00e7\u00e3o foi criada por uma ONG internacional em 1993. Pode ser obtida:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pelos propriet\u00e1rios no que diz respeito \u00e0 gest\u00e3o financeira.<\/li>\n<li>Pelas empresas de transforma\u00e7\u00e3o pela rastreabilidade dos produtos.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Os procedimentos de certifica\u00e7\u00e3o est\u00e3o ligados a uma lista de 11 princ\u00edpios que devem ser respeitados, relacionados com tr\u00eas vertentes (econ\u00f3mica, social e ambiental).<\/p>\n<p>A certifica\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 concedida para um per\u00edodo de 5 anos com um m\u00ednimo de um controlo anual: estas inspe\u00e7\u00f5es podem levar a uma retirada, uma suspens\u00e3o ou \u00e0 obriga\u00e7\u00e3o de fazer corre\u00e7\u00f5es.<\/p>\n<p>As duas particularidades da certifica\u00e7\u00e3oFSC s\u00e3o:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A coloca\u00e7\u00e3o do logotipo sobre os produtos e documentos da empresa (faturas),<\/li>\n<li>A extens\u00e3o da certifica\u00e7\u00e3o (sob condi\u00e7\u00f5es). Por exemplo: constru\u00e7\u00e3o de edif\u00edcios numa floresta.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>No final de 2010, existiam em Fran\u00e7a 18.000 hectares de floresta com certificado FSC.<\/p>\n<p>Uma base de dados online permite realizar uma pesquisa por pa\u00edses: FSC: acesso \u00e0 base de dados\u2028Para saber mais: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fsc.org\/\">https:\/\/www.fsc.org\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>PEFC (PanEuropeanForestCertification) \u2013 Programa Europeu de Florestas Certificadas<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A sua cria\u00e7\u00e3o data de julho de 1998. A iniciativa corresponde a propriet\u00e1rios florestais de seis pa\u00edses europeus. A PEFC Fran\u00e7a participa na gest\u00e3o da marca PEFCe emite as autoriza\u00e7\u00f5es de utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o. A marca PEFC garante que a madeira prov\u00e9m de florestas geridas de forma sustent\u00e1vel em fun\u00e7\u00e3o de umas regras precisas, estabelecidas de regi\u00e3o a regi\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>Mais de 8 milh\u00f5es de hectares de floresta t\u00eam em Fran\u00e7a o certificado PEFCe mais de 3.000 empresas utilizam a madeira e os produtos que s\u00e3o gerados em 14 setores de atividade diferente. A lista de empresas certificadas pode ser consultada online.<\/p>\n<p>Em janeiro de 2012, a PEFC Fran\u00e7a lan\u00e7ou um novo sistema para cinco anos.
